Slice of Life Challenge Day 4
Today got a little long and melodramatic. I won’t go into details but I’ll just say “eighteen-year-old” and hope that many readers might understand. Just when I had reached the point of day where I was ready to return to my bed, under the covers, I got a call from a friend wondering if I wanted to go shopping. I did not. I truly wanted to have myself a little pity party under those covers, but I went anyway, eyes brimming with tears.
In fifteen minutes flat, my funny friend had me laughing about the tent-style clothes that attracted us, making plans for the rest of the weekend, and buying clothes I barely liked just because she told me they looked great on me. She shared stories about her teenagers, offered advice, and made me laugh some more.
I nearly forgot to post today, but I had to write about the amazing blessing of friendship. And I am abundantly blessed in all walks of my life! So to all friends, I say thank you!
